Rail Rush Arcade

 

Based off the successful mobile app, Rail Rush was converted to an amusement/redemption arcade cabinet. While a healthy amount of gameplay was left intact the existing UI needed brand new screens.
The work was two-fold: Rebuild iPhone assets at HD resolution and create new screens for the arcade conversion.

UX Flow

Mapping out the entire flow became key for all parties to understand and agree where new menus would appear to players. Besides keeping the flow up-to-date, I also helped facilitate conversations between developers and the client.

New Screens

Character select, login, high score table, and various attract mode screens were all absent from the original game. These and various other in-game HUD and pop-up assets were all created for the conversion.

Animations

A number of animations were created to compliment the game or draw bystanders attention. Unfortunately, deadlines prevented these from making it into the final game.
